I wish what I had to say was nice, but it's not. I work hard at being a good wife. Just because my husband is in prison doesn't make him any less of a man. It doesn't make him any less deserving of a good wife. It doesn't make him any less deserving of love. So my husband committed a mistake. His mistake was a big one, however it was nevertheless just a mistake. We have all made them. Yet somehow because he is prison people think they have the right to treat him like he is less of a human being. Treat his family like they are less than deserving because we support him, love him, believe in him and will stand by him while he does his bid. There are those that tell us we are dumb because he is going to get out and reoffend...you don't know that...you don't know my man. And if that is truly what you think, quit talking about cutting funding for rehabilitative programs and HELP. Quit being so damn afraid to HIRE him because it's a proven fact that most offenders reoffend because they can't find a job, they have no way to survive so what does this LOVELY society expect of them?

We hire dirty politicians to make our laws and spend THOUSANDS....no, make that TRILLIONS of dollars, on WHAT?! it sure isn't things that need taken care of here in our country.....

And the staff that are supposed to be supervising these men and women who have committed crimes....Lazy, crooked motherfuckers...Women trying to have sex with male inmates, male Co's that were picked on as children and need to be in a position of power now. So this is what they choose, so they can kick around someone whom society has deemed "unfit" and what do we have when his sentence is up? Someone who doesn't trust....is more violent than when he went in, and just doesn't give a fuck because the system and society did him wrong...

And can you blame him? Society hasn't done anything to help him. Prison is supposed to be as punishment not FOR punishment.....yet these men live in the most horrid conditions....

And You want to point your prissy little finger at me and tell me he doesn't deserve a chance, and he doesn't deserve love?

I think he deserves more love than you could ever imagine....you just can't see it because although you want to claim you aren't judging, that you are a "Good Christian" you sure are good at sitting back and casting your stones....
