A Seed of Hope

The Shack by William P. Young : Mackenzie Allen Philips youngest daughter, Missy, has been abducted during a family vacation, and evidence that she may have been brutally murdered is found in an abandoned shack deep in the Oregon wilderness. Four years later in the midst of his Great Sadness, Mack receives a suspicious note, apparently from God, inviting him back to that shack for a weekend. Against his better judgment he arrives at the shack on a wintry afternoon and walks back into his darkest nightmare. What he finds there will change Mack's world forever.  This is a book that Makez and I found very hard to get into, the first three chapters start very slow, but he promised he'd read it with me, and one day we had gotten into an argument and one of my complaints was that he wouldn't even read the book with me lol. To show me he was trying, he picked up the book and read, and he told me babe, the book is great. I thought he was just saying that to appease me, but he was right...the book was great. We thoroughly enjoyed every page...we talked in depth about it, we both found if very meaningful and got a lot out of this book. I am so grateful that we chose to read this book together I recommend it for all couples. It is something that will definitely bring you closer together!
